Bohemian Creamery is a brand of cheese that you can find in small town Sebastopol, California. They are best known locally in Sonoma County and offer a variety of cow and goat cheeses as well as other artisan cheeses. Growing up close to Sebastopol, the area is dear to my heart and I wanted to keep the feeling and style of the town in mind when designing this brand.
Being a local creamery, the company was in need of a design that could make them stand out in the crowd as well as keep them grounded to their roots. It seemed appropriate to rebrand this company around the feeling and atmosphere of Sebastopol and really capture the meaning of Bohemian. Since the name of the company is Bohemian Creamery, I wanted to bring a design in that could reflect the unique cheese company name. Not only is the name unique, but the types of cheeses that are made here are unique as well. The colors and patters in the package design are influenced from bohemian clothing and patterns, like the name. A unique pattern in the form of the goat head ties in a hand drawn logo, multiple typefaces and bright colors in one design.
