The original goal of Johnny Doughnuts was the idea of a food truck, but soon realized that driving around making donuts wasn’t the safest idea for San Francisco. With that concern in mind, they opened doors in San Rafael, 2012 and opened their food truck for business in the Bay Area. Johnny Doughnuts is a premiere purveyor of gourmet doughnuts in the Bay Area and brings local ingredients and fresh fusions of dough and love in every batch.
Being a popular food truck at local Off the Grid, I followed the truck around seeing what everyone raved about. The goal of this project was to gather your own information about a local company and create some form of information design about them. Since Johnny Doughnuts is a well known food truck, I decided they were in need of an app. Johnny Doughnuts does not currently have an app, I decided I would create an app for the company, and the app would also serve as showing information based on the answers from the customers who ate at the truck while. With this app you can track the truck, see what flavors are on the truck and see what customers are saying in the live feed. This design reflects the existing logo design, a funky twist from their many flavors with a simple and clean design.
